[Civ V] Scenarios - Samurai Invasion Deluxe

DOWNLOAD
REQUIRES the Korea DLC
DOES NOT Require the Community Patch

Deluxifies the Samurai Invasion of Korea scenario from the Korea DLC, bringing its mechanics up to the Brave New World standard.

Samurai Invasion depicts Toyotomi Hideyoshi's attempted invasion of Korea from 1592 to 1598. In it, you can play as one of five civilizations: Japan, Korea, China, Manchuria, or the newly added Mongols, with the goal being to either capture both Beijing and Seoul (as Japan, Manchuria, or the Mongols), or to hold your cities until 1600 (as China or Korea), within the turn limit of 100 Turns.

This deluxe version bring the scenario's mechanics up to the standard of Brave New World, namely, bringing the Hit Point system up to 100 from 10. It also introduces post-release mechanics like Religion, Espionage, and Trade Routes to the scenario. In addition, this deluxe version adds three territory-less City-States, makes adjustments to the presentation of the available Civs, and makes other minor changes to systems that do not fit the scenario's timeframe (see the list below).

Changes From Vanilla

  • Updated for Brave New World.
  • Civilization and some city names updated for the time period.
  • Civilization colours and icons changed to match their modded counterpart/new leader status.
  • Sejong is now called Seonjo, Wu Zetian has been replaced with the Wanli Emperor, and Oda Nobunaga is now called Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
  • The Mongols have been added to the north of China.
  • East Asian wonders replace the BNW Policy-specific Wonders (but retain the same effects except where invalid for the scenario).
  • China no longer starts with the Forbidden Palace.
  • Invalid Policy effects have been modified.
  • Guilds have been disabled (along with Great Works). Amphitheatres now have a Writer Specialist slot and Great Writers can now construct the Landmark UTI.
  • Added three City-States: Ryukyu, Portugal, and Dai Viet. These City-States don't have territory or cities, but give an extra opportunity for you (or your opponents) to generate extra yields and resources.
  • Constabularies no longer cost maintenance and increase a city's Gold and Production. Only those with Banking will have access to them. Your Spy can be used to steal China/Korea's more advanced techs (as Mongols, Manchuria, and Japan), or to protect against them.
  • Confucianism, Buddhism, and Christianity have been added as Religions.
